When a murder goes unsolved, the victim’s family is left in a cruel limbo, never getting the answers and justice they deservie. And when a killer isn’t caught, they tend to kill again if the opportunity arises..
Every victim deserves justice, and their families, along with the community, deserve closure. That’s why solving these cases should be a top priority.
Police departments have limited resources to pour into cold cases. But one thing that can influence how much police attention an old, unsolved case gets is public interest.
The more people talk about it, the harder it is to ignore.
I can’t solve these cases, but if sharing their stories helps keep them in people’s minds — and maybe even reaches someone who might know something to solve a case — I’m glad to do my small part.
