About
Welcome to NEPAtruecrime.com. a dedicated space for covering true crime mysteries in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
I’m Alison Dimitrijevic, the writer and researcher behind NEPA True Crime. I was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania, and I started this site to help document the region’s true crime history, with a focus on unsolved cases and missing persons.
For the past 10 years and counting, I’ve been working as a professional copywriter, meaning I create content for businesses. In contrast to that, this blog is my place to write about stories that are important to me on a personal level. Some of those cases are 50 years old, and others just happened last week. And every one of them matters.
One of my main goals is to create in-depth, comprehensive, accurate “case files” on local unsolved murders and missing persons, based on court records, public filings, local news archives, and, when possible, personal interviews with people connected to the case.
Editorial Standards
NEPA True Crime follows a research-based, victim-first approach to storytelling. Every article is grounded in publicly available information, including court documents, local archival news reports, and public records. When facts are unclear or disputed, I strive to clearly label speculation and cite my sources.
I aim to:
- Respect the dignity of victims and their families
- Avoid sensationalism or unnecessary graphic detail
- Correct any inaccuracies quickly if notified
- Update articles as new facts emerge
My goal is not to entertain, but to inform, and to help keep important stories alive in the public consciousness.
If you know of a case that didn’t get the attention it deserves, please email me at nepatruecrime@gmail.com
